Every year, Erlacher GmbH, a renowned furniture maker, collaborates with a distinguished architecture studio to craft a unique wooden bowl, produced in limited quantities.  In 2020, Plasma Studio conceptualized a design centered on the theme of "tessellation", emphasizing flexibility and functionality.

The idea was to create an elegant and versatile object that epitomizes the company's commitment to innovation and research while remaining practical for everyday use.

The object is defined by two distinct parts, designed to be used in different ways, thanks to their several possible combinations: when stacked, the parts form a closed containe; placing both parts concave side up creates a larger, versatile super-container, effectively doubling the surface area of a single bowl.

Lateral notches, located in correspondence of the orthogonal axes, act as gripping elements to handle the bowl, at the same time defining the contact points when several bowls are placed side by side on a surface.
